How does it work?
1. Choose your study plan
Once you register, you immediately gain access to our private 1-on-1 online lesson. If you choose a subscription-based study plan, your study and payment renew automatically every month/week unless you cancel.
2. Complete your onboarding form
After registration, you’ll receive an onboarding form where you share your goals, experience level, availability, and preferences. This helps us match you with the right teachers.
3. Choose your teacher
You can choose your best-matched teacher for your needs in our team, or we can help you with recommendations.
Want to try someone else later? You get one free teacher change per subscription period.
4. Set goals and a study plan
In your first session, your teacher will help you set clear learning goals, a personalized study plan, and expectations for your monthly or up to 4-month progress.
5. Schedule your lessons
You will have your WhatsApp group with your teacher, and you can easily communicate and schedule your sessions via messages. You and the teacher can discuss and choose times that suit your weekly routine.
Lessons are flexible and can be split into shorter (min. 60 minutes) or longer sessions depending on your needs.
6. Attend lessons & get feedback
Each lesson includes:
- Personalized instruction
- Real-time guidance and correction
- Homework or practice tasks (if applicable)
- Consistent progress feedback
You’ll also have close contact in a WhatsApp Group with your teacher for questions between sessions.
7. Rescheduling & cancellations
Free rescheduling or cancellation anytime 24+ hours before the lesson. Changes made within 24 hours may be counted as completed.
8. Track your hours
Your remaining lesson hours will be updated after each session, so you always know how many you have left for the period.
9. Flexible study plan & payment

If you start easy with Finnish lesson once a week?
-> Choose our weekly subscription for only 40 EUR.
If you are committed to a fixed and intensive yet flexible with saving price?
-> The monthly subscription with 10 hour package is for you!
Your subscription renews every month, so you keep receiving 10 new lesson hours. You can cancel anytime before the next billing date to stop renewal.
Unused hours do not roll over, unless informed and agreed beforehand with MOIKKA and the teachers.

How do I schedule my appointment?
Upon purchasing for your first lesson or the subscription, you'll automatically receive a form to share to your schedule, teacher preference and most importantly, learning goals.
We carefully consider and arrange the first lesson with your suitable teacher.
How can I reschedule my pre-planned lessons?
If you have changes in schedule short-term and long-term, simply get in touch with your teacher on WhatsApp/during the lesson to reschedule the lesson or adjust the study plan.
Does MOIKKA help prepare for language exams?
Yes! We have experience with preparing students for YKI tests at B1 level in Finnish and Swedish proficiency.
If you need to get ready for any entrance exams like for University of Applied Sciences, our ex-examiners teachers are happy to help you with mock interviews and assessments as well!!
Can I request a refund after purchase?
Nope. Since this is a personalized service, we must not offer refunds. However, if your schedule does not afford you to study language now, we totally understand and can offer a 3-month freeze for your studies with paid lessons.
Can I purchase a package more than once?
Absolutely! If you find yourself in need of lesson more than once, simply purchase a bigger package or purchase the same again.
